2 on 2 Get the Hell Back
Purpose
To work on the transition from offense to defense.
Procedure [Only Registered Users Can See Links] (javascript:popup_window('webanims/2_on_2_get_the_hell_back.svgz','2_on_2_get_the_hel l_back',827,534);)
2 offensive and 2 defensive players will assemble to play 2 on 2 on one end of the floor. The other players will form lines out-of-bounds on either sideline. Play will begin as the players begin playing 2 on 2. Once the defense gets the ball, they immediately throw the ball to either of the 2 players waiting on the sidelines. The players that were on offense, sprint to try and prevent the 2 new offensive players from scoring in transition. This pattern continues end to end. All action is completely live and the 2 players waiting on the outlet have no rules.

Emphasis
Defensive players must sprint back in transition and “get in the play.” Offensive players must push the ball as hard as they can and make good decisions.
