TOUCHDOWN PLAY
This play is run from the far end line against a man-to-man defense. It starts with all five offensive players in the back court. This play is especially good when 1's defender guards closely, as well as all defenders. As 1 receives the ball from the official, 2 steps out of bounds. 1 throws the ball cross court (out of bounds) to 2. Then, the middle player near halfcourt, 4, moves forward and screens 1's defender. 1 runs as fast as she can downcourt and receives a long pass from 2 for a basket. To keep the defense honest, both 3 and 5 move toward the backcourt baseline and call for the ball.

When playing against a team that switches a great deal on defense, this option may be utilized. The play is run the same as before, but when it comes time for 4 to screen for 1, 4 sets the screen, calls out "switch", back pivots and runs downcourt to become the receiver of the 'touchdown' pass from 2.
