This play takes advantage of a basic stack play, but under conditions where the defense is really denying the inbounds pass.
Players 4 and 5 line up in a stack free throw line high on the ball side. The defenders guarding 4 and 5 are denying as 4 steps out of the stack to the ball side. 1 quickly gets the ball to 4 on the sideline, and the defender guarding 5 should be taken out of position to cover 5, who rolls for the basket and takes a lob pass from 4 for a layup. At the same time, 3 sets a backscreen for 2, who cuts for the basket on the far side of the court for a possible lob pass from 1 or 4.

If neither is open, 3 rolls to the ball and takes the inbounds pass from 1.
